Did I tell ya'll I saw Parkway Drive on Wednesday?
Fucking incredible! IF HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS, WHY DO I FEEL SO FUCKING HEARTLESS?!?! Unfortunately I have to carry a guy out of the mosh who fell to the ground whilst crowd surfing so I missed the end of that song. But a good fucking show!!!
“Music is something that makes me feel better. I could have the crappiest week, the crappiest month, the crappiest year. Then I could go see a band that I really enjoy, play some songs that really meant something to me and it takes all of that away. It’s about being at a show and you get that feeling this is exactly where i’m supposed to be. This is exactly what i’m supposed to be doing with my life. And I feel better.”—Jeremy Mckinnon (via -44)
I can’t believe The Wonder Years have been booed at most of their Australian shows. I mean, you wouldn’t expect any less from Parkway Drive fans but still. TWY are a great band and deserve better than that. Just sayin’.
Let’s remind ourselves that the whole point of having different styles of bands on the bill was the point of the tour. If you don’t like a band, just stand through them and wait, they’ll be over soon - there is absolutely no need to boo them. How would you like it if you got on stage on everyone boo’d you? That goes for all bands, not just this one. People holding up signs is significant to a TWY album. And wearing stupid clothes, sorry they don’t fit to your standards. Seriously.
I don’t care if you are booing because you hate the band or the crowd. Booing a band at a concert is a disgusting thing to do. TWY were probably looking forward to come to Aus on this massive line up and for people to be booing them is down right un-Australian. We pride ourselves on being welcoming and nice people. Booing is not welcoming or nice.
I’m sorry to pull the patriotism card but this just shits me! You don’t boo at concerts, end of story!
